Ever think we're focusing on the wrong problems? A Clarkson University research team demonstrated how they were able to bypass a number of biometric security devices with molds made from play-doh. Nice. What's even better is that this inspired research into technology that will detect moisture patterns to foil attackers attempting to use cadavers and other fake (play-doh!) digits. OMG, use multi-factor authentication. Don't make a finger one of the factors. Don't build smarter sweat-detecting biometric device. There are better technologies available.
